Why you should create a customer VIP group

Creating a VIP group for your customers is a great way to grow your relationships with them. After all, who wouldn’t want to be considered a VIP?

Customers are more likely to buy from people they know and like and this is the one of the many ways to connect.

Here are a few tips to get you started:

1. Create your group

Create a private group within Facebook. Add a fun banner and a welcome message.

2. Invite people to join

Your group is not open to the public, so you will be in charge of allowing access. Do not add people to your group without asking them. Think quality over quantity. You want your customers to feel special (hence the VIP name). Let them know that this will be a place to get to know you and your product, to get exclusive access to deals, special giveaways, fun contests…whatever you want to offer.

3. Share valuable content

Now that your group is established, give your customers content that they find valuable. How do you know what they want? Well, the best way to get started is to just start posting! Pay attention to the posts that get the most engagement and offer more of that.

You want to provide information, but also entertainment and personal stories. This is the perfect place for your customers to get to know you better.

4. Be consistent

Create a schedule and stick to it. For some people that means posting multiple times per day. Others may post every few days. Figure out what works best for you. You can always use a planning app like Tailwind to schedule your posts in advance.

It’s important to keep your group engaged so they want to come back for more. Make sure you are commenting and connecting with your members so they know you care about them and want them to be part of the conversation.
