Your success in social media depends on this

Does your level of ability shine through on social media? Does it look like you know what you are doing?

Your audience will be drawn to someone they see as having a high level of ability and professionalism. Are you portraying that image?

Caliber

Caliber is one of my 5 Cs of social media success. There are a couple different aspects to consider.

First, it’s important to stay educated and up-to-date on the ever-changing algorithms in each social platform. This determines if your posts are being seen, and if people will take you seriously.

Next, your profile photo and workspace also need to look professional. Whether you like it or not, people will judge a book by its cover, so to speak. Your profile picture gives your audience their first impression of you. Make sure they can see you clearly and that your profile matches what you stand for and gives them a sense of your personality.

If you post a video or go live with your audience, what does your background look like? Good lighting and a clear space without clutter should be your top priorities. If I am watching a proclaimed leader in the industry in a video about living their best life and the background doesn’t align with the message, that person is going to lose credibility.

In a nutshell, make sure you are up to date on the latest trends on each social media platform and that you portray a professional image to your audience.
