Don’t you love how this time of year turns us to counting blessings? 

Every situation becomes better (I don’t care how bad it is) when you work to look for the sunshine. 

But there’s another thing I believe gratitude can do, one you’ve maybe never considered… If you count your blessings no matter how small they are, you will not fall into the comparison trap. 

There is always someone out there that wishes they were in your place. If you give thanks for all the little blessings now, you will look back someday and realize they were big ones.

So the next time you find yourself in the comparison trap, pull out a pen and paper and start counting blessings, I think you’ll be amazing at what happens next!
